Following up my absolutely stellar time at Games Done Quick’s Winter event, Awesome Games Done Quick, I am excited to share that I will once again be behind the host microphone for their Summer event, the appropriately titled Summer Games Done Quick!
The Key Details
Summer Games Done Quick is coming up on July 5th-11th, 2026, live from Minneapolis, MN and I’ll be serving as one of the team of on-air hosts during the event, talking up the event between runs and reading off donation messages (more on that below).
My schedule for hosting is as follows, all times/days below Eastern — if you go to their schedule page, you can view it in your time zone!
Wednesday, July 8th, 2026
- 12:21am – PRAGMATA, as run by Oh Snap
- 2:12am – The Evil Within 2, as run by AvuKamu
Friday, July 10th, 2026
- 5:33pm – Tetris, as run by toast, Chronos, and BeastinShen
- 7:31pm – Super Mario Maker 2, as run by juzcook, Marble, and CarlSagan42
The livestream of the event will be viewable on Twitch and YouTube, and if you miss it live, an archived version of each run will hit the Games Done Quick YouTube shortly thereafter.
What a truly rad opportunity this is. I had a lovely time in Pittsburgh in January, and I get to, once again, be a part of this great event. I know it was a reflection of my talent, as judged in the audition process (which everyone has to go through, every time, in a very fair process), but I’m delighted to be a part of the team. I’m also very lucky to have an employer who will let me work remotely for the week of the 6th-10th of July.
This time, the event is raising funds for Doctors Without Borders, which I think we can all agree — especially in Times Like These™ — is an incredibly necessary and worthy cause.
Being given the opportunity to host during a shift with what are sure to be incredible runs in Tetris and Mario Maker, along with being able to host for one of my favorite games of the year in PRAGMATA is a true joy, and I cannot wait to be a part of it.
Now…who has recommendations for what I should do, see, and eat in Minneapolis?!
…and how can i fit a prince reference into my intros…
