Marvel Studios President Kevin Feige capped off an electric showcase presentation during D23: The Ultimate Disney Fan Event, unveiling the stars of the upcoming X-Men movie. Director Jake Schreier was joined onstage by star Sadie Sink, who made her debut as Jean Grey in Marvel Studios’ Spider-Man: Brand New Day.
“It is so wonderful to be here and to finally be able to talk about this character after months of speculation,” Sink told the crowd. “We’re here to talk about the X-Men. Should we meet some more of the cast?”
The trio then welcomed Sink’s new costars to the stage: Kit Connor as Scott Summers, Christopher Abbott as Professor Charles Xavier, Samara Weaving as Emma Frost, Inde Navarrette as Rogue, and Maya Boyd as Storm.
…..
Finally, Adam Driver crashed the panel with one final video surprise, where he revealed that he will be playing a very sinister figure named Nathaniel Milbury.
Well there ya go, gang, the future of the MCU — and I guess we can just talk about Sadie Sink’s Jean Grey now?
I’m extremely excited to see Inde Navarrette get to break out post Obsession, I’m hearing very good things about where we may actually see Maya Boyd’s Storm first, and holy crap, Adam Driver as Mr. Sinister is perfect casting.
Funny that there’s no Magneto or Wolverine, though. Yet.
It’ll be nice to have new X-Men once again after seeing the Fox X-Men Universe end in X3: The Last Stand, Logan, Deadpool & Wolverine, and this winter’s Avengers: Doomsday.
X-Men makes its MCU debut on May 5th, 2028.
