Way back in 2007, animation studio Imagi made a pitch to Nintendo for a Legend of Zelda film.
Fresh off the success of their TMNT reboot, one could see why Nintendo would have considered them, and looking off of the pitch reel (released by artist Adam Holmes), it’s easy to get lost in the possibilities.

Alas, it was not meant to be. Nintendo passed, and Imagi, they went on to do Astro Boy…and close. Maybe someone else will lead the Zelda film charge, but until then, enjoy what was made.
